You Know You're In Korea When....(pt.3)

  • your toothpaste is green tea flavor.
  • people only chew with their mouths open (lip smacking can be heard across the land.)
  • nobody cares if you shove them (or get shoved) on the street.
  • you can buy a pre-made hamburger in a bag at the local convenience store.
  • a crazy dictatorial nation to your north threatens to attack and kill you, is just another day in the news.
  • asking strangers blunt personal questions is perfectly normal.
  • you frequently see swastikas on buildings because they are Buddhist temples.
  • air raid drills happen every 15th of the month (it took us a long time to figure out what those sirens meant :) )
  • you get "servicee" at some stores where they give you a free gift or a special discount with your purchase.
  • calling someone a "dog baby" is EXTREMELY offensive.  :)
