Lost in Translation

I was giving one of my students a speaking test today. He had to look at a bunch of Korean words and sentences on a page, and then tell me the English words.
When he got to the word "medicine" he looks up and says "marshmellow!"  I tried not to smile as I told him to try again. Then he got to the word "pepper"...he  stared at it for a while and finally he looks up and says "pooper?"....this time I couldn't help but crack a smile.
